Sneak peek at our Vday card

I'm really excited about Valentine's Day this year. No, not because I expect a wonderful gift from DH (by the way, he gave me a diamond necklace for Christmas!!!) but because this day isn't just for lovers, it's also CHD Day! We were all shocked on Brayden's 2nd day of life when we were told he had a heart murmur. The next thing we knew, they were flying him off to Kosair Children's hospital for observation. I worried about almost everything but a heart defect when I was pregnant with Brayden. I had no idea that Congenital Heart Defects were so common, but they are! Our little guy has aortic stenosis. Many people just like me did/do not know this and we all need to be aware! Of course there will be more to come in February on this topic, but I was excited to get our card done to send out to family and friends. Here's a sneak peek:-) Of course you'll have to wait until 2/7 to see the rest. Feb. 7-14 is CHD awareness week!

I'm definitely up to something!

Gotta love this shirt and the innocent picture to go along with it! Brayden has discovered that he likes suckers. I bought some to help me fight the munchies during the day and evening and I can no longer eat one around him or he steals it. Not a good habit to start at 15 months old. He's also been pushing the kitchen chairs up to the counter and stealing my chewing gum. Luckily it's sugar free!

Sony Ericsson makes a good cell!

I have to say, that the thought had crossed my mind before, but no one ever calls my cell when I'm at home......

But yesterday Jeff went to Wal-Mart to pick up some things. I took a shower and had just gotten out when my cell phone started to ring. He decided to call to see if I needed anything on my cell so he wouldn't wake Brayden on the home line. Of course I have the vibrate on too so it was buzzing and playing Blink 182. Unfortunately it buzzed itself right into a bowl of water in the kitchen sink. How did that happen? Well, we have horrible reception here at our house and I can get 3 bars in the back kitchen window for texting. So.....it was there in the windowsill when he called. Below was a bowl of water. I heard it go ker plunk right before I got in the kitchen. Blink 182 was still rockin' in the water when I pulled it out. I immediately started taking it apart and drying everything I could. I blow dried it on the cool setting for 15 minutes, and eventually it was as good as new. I really thought I was going to be without a cell for a while, but it pulled through for me!

Today......

has been rather boring. I went to Wal-Mart grocery shopping and then came home and exercised. I wanted to share the latest girl design for my website though. I love the yellow and pink together. What a great picture of mother and daughter too!

My latest creation

Here is my latest creation for Pat A Cake Designs. The parents took a great picture of their newborn. Close up and natural lighting made a perfect birth announcement photo. I love making birth announcements! My baby has grown so fast and he's 15 months tomorrow. It's so easy to forget how little they once were.

Here is a recent photo of my little guy. He's much more photogenic than his older brother. He loves being outside! You'll have to excuse his hair, it was a little windy. I can't decide what to do with it though because it is getting long since his 1st real haircut in Oct. I think it would be adorable long, but you can see how that baby soft hair can fly away in any direction!

I am finally getting a blog up and going after several of my friends suggested I start one to share my days with you. After trying some of the other blogs for weeks that came with my webhosting service, I've decided to settle down here with blogger because it's so user friendly and easy to navigate. I had a blog before but never kept it up so I'm very excited to start this to share the ups and downs of my business and photos of my beautiful children.

I really like the title. You can see it ties in with my website and it also reminds me of Brayden's little feet. I've actually been thinking of creating a mini birth announcement and calling them "pitter patters", so we'll see. I really have no idea where this will lead, but I bet it's something I will love!
