jump rope for heart

UPDATE: If you can make a donation, please do so by 2/26. Madison will be jumping on the 27th!

Austin is no longer in elementary school and his middle school does not participate in jump rope for heart. His cousin Madison is this year though so visit her page and make a donation if you can! She is jumping for Brayden and Daddy Bill this year. I can also take donations in any amount through paypal to send to her or I can forward their mailing address if you would like to mail something....so just shoot me an email if you need the additional info. It's a great cause! I felt a little lost this February not getting ready for the event but hope this helps some! Everyone has always been so generous helping Austin raise money and we really appreciated it!

He's all good

Brayden had his checkup at Duke yesterday and the results were great! His EKG was "as normal as can be" and his murmur was very quiet. He wasn't the ideal patient but Dr. Armstrong said since he was SO aggitated and as mad as he could get, it was actually helpful because even with the blood pumping and the heart thumping the murmur was barely noticeable. We go back in a year and hopefully he will be a better patient then. Brayden was playing Dr. in this photo and I have been kicking myself ever since I downloaded it and realized I was too close to get all of the bear in the pic. You get the idea anyway.

The gamble chocolates

Jeff got me one of these lovely hearts filled with the gamble chocolates for Valentine's Day. I got lucky, picked the caramel one on the first try and then I was done. I passed it off to Jeff and he and the boys finished it off. Keaton is usually down for whatever food you put in front of him....but even he was surprised by this chococreamyfruitymush combo.

Horrible blogger in 09

I don't know what happened. I just lost all of my blogging mojo. I'm also sharing the computer with Brayden now. Playhouse Disney = less time for me to do all the fun stuff I like to do. We've been dealing with mice for a couple of weeks now and it's been driving me crazy. We knew there were some in the garage but I heard one under the refrigerator, caught him, and then found out there was one under the dishwasher. They also got in my van!!!! We need some cats....

My knee locked up on me again this past weekend and I aslo got locked out of the house for 2 hours from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. Everyone went to bed except for me and I went out in the garage to let Annie out before I headed there myself. The doorknobs on these outside doors can be locked and still turn from the inside. I really don't like them at all. The garage door happened to be locked that night so I was LOCKED OUT. Of course we didn't have an extra key stored under a rock, or above the door, or anywhere else for that matter. I was sure though that if I rang the doorbell like a crazy woman someone would eventually come. That someone didn't come until 2 hours later when I started beating on the garage ceiling with a bat and then went around to the front door and rang that doorbell like crazy again. Austin finally awoke from his slumber dazed and confused but I finally convinced him to let me in. So, you can laugh at my expense. It's ok.

That's about all the excitement in our lives lately. Austin got his report card a week or so ago and made the honor roll. So far this 9 weeks he has straight A's going so he's doing great in school. Keaton is trying to talk lots more now. He's also obsessed with flipping light switches on and off. We are heading to Duke tomorrow for Brayden's cardiology check up. I'll let you know how it goes!

The Children's Museum

Here are some pictures of our trip to the Wilmington Children's Museum. Dede came for a visit so I had an extra pair of hands and was brave enough to go check it out since I had been wanting to visit for a little while now. It was really a neat place. Lots of things for the kids to get involved in.
Brayden really enjoyed the grocery store part of the museum. He got a cash register for Christmas so he knew exactly what to do.
There was a neat dress up area and a theatre to put on puppet shows.
There was a movie set complete with a green wall and a really cool glow room.
After a long day the boys got to snuggle a bit with Dede.
