Pretty Sky

It was cloudy and oh so windy most of the day, but the sun peeked out just enough as night was falling to cast the prettiest pink and purple hue on the clouds.

Best Week Ever.....9/15-9/21

I'm going to try and resurrect Best Week Ever here on Pitter Patters. I hope I can keep it up and just post some random pics from the week.

Good morning Keaton! I had my camera when Keaton woke up on Wednesday morning and he wasn't very excited for me to take his picture. He's been sleeping a little later than he used to. Almost making until 8 a.m. a few mornings, but he's reminded me the rest of the week that he isn't set on that time. As long as he makes it until 7, I'm generally happy.

We got to spend a little more time outside this week than we have been lately. The air was nice and dry and the mosquitoes must have been sleeping the day away because we jumped on the trampoline for a little while with no pests buzzing around. Keaton found the alligator blow up ring and had to take it with him. Brayden found some random things in the garage and set up some sort of contraption. Not sure what he was trying to accomplish! He tries to "fix" things like my car, etc

I did a cute birth announcement this week. It's always nice to have adorable pics to work with. Welcome Emerson!
I've done pretty well with my Ebay auctions. It was lots of work but it will help to put some gas in the tank. I still have several trips to the post office in my future... All in all, it was a pretty good week. I just wish I wasn't already getting a case of the Mondays. Austin has to get up too early and I really don't like packing lunches at 6:30. Can you tell I don't like to get up early by reading this post?

Officially a walker I would say!

Since I can't upload a cute video to share the little pitter patters, here is the next best thing. Sequenced photos!

An update....

I have not taken many pictures lately! Well, except for the 300 I took of baby clothes, etc. to list on Ebay. That's what I've been doing for 3 days now. The listing and descriptions take forever and not to mention the countless number of trips to the post office...It's such a pain but the best way to make a little money on used baby stuff. The little boys were in a good mood this morning so I caught some pictures of them playing together. They were jumping around on the big chair. I swear Brayden thinks that it is a trampoline. If we didn't get attacked by a million mosquitos we might actually go out and jump on the real trampoline, but they're just waiting for us.....I can't wait until some cooler weather scares them off. I really see no use for them. They're horrible little things. I read somewhere that dragonflies eat them. Maybe I should order some....off of Ebay?? I think I'll check that out.

9.11

I just wanted to take a minute today to remember the events of 9.11.01 I'm sure none of us will ever forget! So, to make you smile, I will (yes, again) post the picture of my 3 cute boys and the American Flag. I love it in red, white, & blue, but I love it in sepia too.

a new goal

trying to give myself some motivation here....I'm starting a new goal of 70 miles in 4 weeks. I let the summer heat really slow me down in August so it's time to get moving again. I hope to have a celebration post in a month!!

We made it through the storm

We didn't sleep that well, but we made it through "Hanna" safely. It didn't help that I had a dream about a tornado coming! That was what I was scared of the most because it was dark and we couldn't see anything! The power cut out about 5 a.m. but was back up and running by 8 this morning. Jeff had to go back to work and get the store back up and running, but the rest of us napped the afternoon away! There were several dead limbs down this morning but nothing major.

A recent design

I really, really, loved how this invitation turned out. It was printed on pearl cardstock which gave the dark starry night a shimmer and it turned out just awesome!

A hurricane as my birthday gift?

awwww...that's so sweet Mother Nature! This will be new for me. Celebrating my birthday and preparing for a hurricane. Luckily, it seems Hanna is going to take it easier on us than the Gulf Coast had it last week. Let's just hope and pray she doesn't surprise anyone and get stronger!
