Time for Santa

Celebrate!

Well, I am late announcing that my little guy has turned FIVE whole years old. Hard to believe. Thank goodness he has that October birthday or he could be in Kindergarten already. No way. I really wasn't ready for that. He is however attending a Montessori school three mornings a week and he has adjusted quite well to it. It's the perfect place for him for now. So many things to do and learn at his own pace and so many things to keep him interested! I have been pleased with the experience.

Another thing to celebrate.....he had his check up with the pediatric cardiologist this week and everything still looks great! So amazing that he has been able to stay so healthy for FIVE whole years now. Time is flying by. He continues to learn how to be the perfect little patient. Lying perfectly still for an entire echo and ekg. Well, he's come a long way from the days of a drug induced nap time (sedated echo) and screaming loudly when a stethoscope came near. He was so cool this time around he didn't even want to watch a silly movie while the tech was doing the echo. He shut down that idea and instead studied the ultrasound monitor. His tech was so impressed she went and hunted down a cuddly Snoopy and Woodstock for him. So, that's a quick update on B!

Trick or Treat 2010

I am shocked that I didn't get a Halloween card out this year. Shocked I tell you! They had super cute costumes and I didn't get it done. Well, there's always next year. Keaton and Brayden dressed up early in the day for B's school party. B went as a bear and K as an octopus. Later that evening they switched over to their TOT costumes. Keaton went as a shark, Brayden as Sully, and Austin as a scary looking mummy guy. A few short weeks ago Keaton suddenly became obsessed with sharks and I began the search for a shark costume. Brayden is the lucky age to inherit Austin's Monsters Inc. Sully costume. Still love that costume. It seems like yesterday Austin was wearing it. But, as you can see, he is not. At that age, I suppose only a costume with a scary mask will do.

Keaton turned 3!!!!!

I know you probably still think he's still a baby due to my negligent blogging ways, but he turned 3 last month! We celebrated the evening with cupcakes and presents galore. He had a great day and unbeknown to me, enjoys wax candles as much as cupcakes!

Halloween

You'll have to excuse the lack/quality of photos because I did well to even take those. The whole holiday didn't turn out just exactly as I had planned. I did well just to get out of bed. I had been planning so many fun Halloween activities and goodies but I couldn't pull it off. I did manage to help the kids make some cupcakes and they decorated them nicely. Maybe next year I won't be taken over by nasty little virus bugs. Dede and Ken were here to help celebrate and thank goodness for that. We went trick or treating and the boys filled up their buckets and a brief case for Austin. Brayden was Buzz, Keaton was an LGM (little green man) and Austin refused to go as Zurg. A last minute costume change, and he was in instant business man ready to make some deals. For candy anyway. So, that was it. The weather was nice and the candy was plentiful. Decent Halloween.

Can someone please lysol the Magic Kingdom? Please??!!!

That's the request I think I'll be sending in before we make our next trip to see the mouse. We've been sick. Antibiotics, Motrin, cough suppresent, Aleve. Just about every cold/virus symptom out there, one of us has had it. Those lead to eye/ear infections and bronchitis. It all started when we got home from our vacation and has spread throughout the house. We love our Disney trips, but we can't seem to make it home healthy. Maybe we should hang out in the ER a month before we head out next time to build up some immunties. Sounds fun....but it would beat 3 weeks of sickness after getting home. So, I've been running behind on blogging, but I'll catch up. Promise.

Welcome Baby Luke!!

I was so excited to do this announcement because after patiently waiting for their blessing, my friend Jenny and her husband Brad welcomed baby Luke on August 25!!! I'm so happy for them and he is absolutely beautiful. Hoping to meet him in person sometime.....hopefully sooner than later! Congratulations!
